Kendra Colton,
soprano
American soprano Kendra Colton has enjoyed a career of considerable variety. She has performed with period instruments, with modern instruments, with major orchestras, with chamber orchestras, with chamber ensembles, in recitals with piano, in the pit for ballet, and in staged and semi-staged operas. The repertoire she has sung includes works from Monteverdi and Lully to newly commissioned compositions. Alongside her performing, a long history of teaching currently finds her at Oberlin College Conservatory. She has made numerous recordings featuring art songs, late 20th and early 21st Century works, and J.S. Bach arias and cantatas.
